The aim of this project, financed by the European iniciative INTERREG IIIB, is to carry out the main actions recommended for the reduction of risk associated to the volcanic danger in Canarias and Azores. These actions are basically three:

• Development of maps of volcanic danger zones.
• Application of a multidisciplinar approach to the volcanic surveillance, with the aim of the improvement of the early alert systems.
• Development of emergency plans that can be tested by the population.
