Abstract

The main goal of this Project is to design and experiment with new socio-labour strategies for people in disadvantageous situations.

Different approaches for training activities and work are developed. The Communit´s Initiative of Human Resources EQUAL, promoted by European Social Fund, is part of an integrated strategy for employment. Its main goal is to fight against all discrimination and inequality that occur in the job market and in particular those that have to do with sex, race, ethnic origin, beliefs, age, social condition, etc. The Semilla project looks forward to cover the training areas and employment for disabled people and associations in a disadvantageous situation, introducing the innovating measures and strategies that will guarantee the best efficiency and the interventions needed in each of them.

The actions developed in the project spin around new training methodologies and employment, new technologies, genre perspectives, service quality, environmental education and the elimination of physical barriers in communication and mind. Work in this area, resulting from the relation between ITER and SIMPROMI (Insular association for the promotion for the disabled), is directed towards the promotion of the use of the ICT for disabled people´s integration in education and work. ITER continues with the collaboration line with SIMPROMI for the development of an e-learning system for disabled adults, based in e-technologies. ITER moves educational contents to a format that makes it accessible from an e-learning platform based in SCORN technologies.
