Abstarct

The aim of this Project is to study and develop silicon-based photovoltaic cells involving silicon nanostructures and photoluminescent ions in order to improve the efficiency of photoconversion.

Therefore, the application of photoluminescent nanostructures is considered in order to increase the maximum efficiencies of silicon-based cells developed by means of down and up-conversion processes, both by the creation of photoluminescent silicon nanostructures and rare-earths doping.
