Ensamblado Manual de Componentes Horno de soldadura

Activity

This Department was initially constituted to serve as electronic material supplier for other departments, nowadays the Department carries out their own activities.

This activity progresses in two main areas:

They also give support for activities of other ITERs departments and projects, for example, the development of acquisition and monitoring systems in bioclimatic houses, measurement and information panels (Ofra´s Park), help during the installation and start off and maintenance in SOLTEN plants.

They also carry out projects with public sponsors.

Resources

Engineers, physicist and electronic technicians make up the human resource assigned to the Electronic Department which also has to their disposal several specific materials.

Appointed to the R&D activities:

  • Components for prototyped circuits
  • CAD/CAM software for circuits
  • Electronic laboratory with diverse equipment (electricity sources, measurement devices, osciloscopes, analysts)
  • PCB prototype workshop
  • Small mechanic workshop

Appointed to the manufacturing activities:

  • Assembly equipment for insertion and SMT (silkscreening, pick&place, oven)
  • Wire processing equipment (cut, stripping and ends).
  • Materials and components

Shortly, the facilities will be enlarged due to the increase in the activity.

Capacities

R&D in electronics

Electronic designs are made for specific applications. Work is made with combined electronic (analogical, with) control and process microprocessor), both in small signal and power.

The prototypes can be made entirely in the Department (from the conception of the idea all the way to the operative prototype, going through the design and assembly stages).

Manufacture

Manufacturing is achieved from the basic component level and the printed circuits are ordered to external suppliers. Work is both about insertion and superficial assembly, which is nowadays hand made due to the production volume.
